Realvision Mutlimedia Software develops MIDI products for Macintosh. Your products, DxMidi and DxMidiX are plug-ins for RealBasic under MacOS 8,9 and X.
Realvision Multimedia software is developing and distribute DxMidi, the powerful MIDI Realbasic plugin for music creation and performance development into the best multi-platform oriented-object basic interface ever made.
   DxMidi X

New and Innovative operating system Mac OSX offers now a full integrated USB MIDI support and services like a Real MIDI server. New drivers and support is now available to Macintosh users and developers.

   DxMidi (Mac OS 8,9)

This final DxMidi plug-in version is provided for developers under RealBasic 3 to 4.
Full 68x and PPC compatible (Fat version).
An old DxMidi version is also specified to RealBasic 2 users. You can get it in our download page.

The final classic release supports OMS and MidiManager components. To upgrade your software, use this link and support program.

Note : OMS and MidiManager services are obsoletes and no release distribution can be found from 2002.
DxMidi under Mac OS 8 or 9 is running thru Realbasic projects and compiled projects. You need first a MIDI driver to deliver a physical link between your Macintosh and any serial MIDI interface. DxMidi uses the opcode MIDI driver called OMS. OMS is an opcode obsolete tool. Any serial or USB MIDI interface can be used with OMS, and DxMidi don't need to recognize any of your devices because OMS manages all the stuff for you. DxMidi X is quite similar to DxMidi but it is running under Mac OSX and don't need any driver because Apple system manages directly MIDI devices thru a low level manager. To get more information about Apple MIDI managing under OS X, please read apple site information.
Plug-ins for RealBasic are simply moved to the 'plugin' folder of RealBasic program directory. For Mac OSX, you need also a bundle package that install near your projects (in the same directory) to let set an easy relative path from your program to the bundle package. Within RealBasic application, load a DxMidi example project and run it. For DxMidi, verify that OMS driver extension is installed in your OS. For DxMidiX, verify that your bundle is correctly mapped from the project. Plug any device to your Macintosh USB socket, or launch any virtual device program. Test the sample program and enjoy!
